U.P.S.
was born May 12 1996 - in a litter of 4 males - each one
bigger than the next. These pups had super long legs - wonderful,
elegant heads, great toplines and tailsets and wonderful
characters. So we decided to keep a male and female and
they are BIG! Their mother, Am & Int Ch. Skansen's Russian
Roulette is also very big - she is also very intelligent
and beautiful, my own personal house pet and guard. Their
sire, Ch. Skansen's Northern Lights, is one of our top producers
- most famous U.P.S's 1/2 sister Am. & Can. Ch. Skansen's
Status Quo - who won the National 1996 and in 1997 won over
40 All Breed Best in Shows, making her the No.1 Giant female
of all times in Best in Show wins. Roulette is also a top
producer - a male from her last litter, Ch. Skansen's Tornado,
has won 8 All Breed Best in Shows before 2 years old and
is a Champion in 8 countries.
U.P.S.
is turning out to be another top stud dog, as I expected
with his great pedigree. You will notice that all his ancestors
in the next four generations are Champions with the exception
of Nenevale Be - A - Charmer - an English import that I
never showed, as she was cropped late and her ears never
stood. She was, however, a top producer with over 10 Champion
offspring and lived to be 14 years old. The other one is
Oasis - Roulette's mother - also never shown - even if she
was beautiful and could easily have gained a Championship.
U.P.S. has excellent hips - and his pups seem to inherit
his size, as well as his happy - go - lucky disposition.
